This is a moderately active multi sport adventure designed for women who enjoy exploring on foot and experiencing a destination beyond the typical tourist path. You should be comfortable walking several miles throughout the day, climbing stairs, riding a bicycle on flat terrain, and spending time outdoors. One of the highlights of the trip is our Cave Trek Experience, an unforgettable adventure through one of Vietnam's most spectacular cave systems. The day includes hiking on uneven trails, crossing shallow streams, scrambling over rocks, and short swims through sections of the caves while wearing a life jacket. No technical experience is required, but a good level of mobility and a sense of adventure are important. We'll also enjoy a leisurely e-bike ride through the beautiful countryside of Ninh Binh and an optional cycling experience through the rice fields and villages surrounding Hoi An. Both rides are on mostly flat terrain and are designed to be enjoyable rather than strenuous. If the cave adventure isn't the right fit for you, please reach out before booking. We're happy to discuss the experience and, if available, explore alternative activities for that day.

March is one of the best times of year to visit Vietnam. We can expect pleasant temperatures and generally dry weather throughout the regions we'll be exploring. In Hanoi and at the bay, daytime temperatures are typically in the upper 60s to mid-70s°F (20–24°C), with cool mornings and evenings. Phong Nha, home to Vietnam's spectacular caves, is usually warm and comfortable, with temperatures in the mid-70s to low 80s°F (24–28°C). Hoi An is warmer, with daytime highs in the upper 70s to mid-80s°F (26–30°C) and plenty of sunshine. We'll provide a detailed packing list before the trip, but plan on lightweight clothing for the day, a light jacket or sweater for cooler mornings and evenings in the north, comfortable walking shoes, and a rain jacket just in case. March is generally a wonderful time to experience Vietnam.

Because many of the hotels, guides, and special experiences included in this journey require advance payment and are non-refundable, trip payments are non-refundable. There is a minimum of seven and a maximum of fourteen guests in the group (plus the host). If sold out, you can be placed on a waiting list.

Vietnam's weather in March is generally warm and comfortable, so lightweight, breathable clothing is ideal. We recommend comfortable walking shoes, a light jacket or sweater for cooler mornings and evenings in northern Vietnam, a rain jacket, hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, and a small daypack for daily excursions. For our Cave Trek Experience, you'll also want quick-drying athletic clothing, shoes that can get wet with good traction, and a change of clothes for afterward. We'll provide detailed recommendations for this adventure well before departure. A detailed packing guide, including suggested clothing and gear for each part of the trip, will be provided several months before departure.

Yes. Vietnam uses 220V electricity, and you'll find a mix of Type A, C, and F outlets. Many hotels accept U.S. two-prong plugs, but not all do.A universal travel adapter is the simplest option and will work throughout the trip. If you’re interested in sharing a room, I’m happy to connect you with another guest who is also looking for a roommate, when possible. While I can’t guarantee a match, I’ll facilitate introductions so you can decide together if it feels like a good fit. If you’re registering on your own, you’ll initially sign up for a single room. If you later find a roommate, your registration and pricing will be adjusted. If a roommate match doesn’t work out, you’ll remain in the single room, subject to availability. Yes. All guests are required to carry their own travel insurance policy that includes medical coverage and emergency evacuation. It is generally advisable to choose a policy with substantial coverage for both medical expenses and evacuation. Many policies provide $50,000–$100,000 in medical coverage and $250,000–$500,000 for emergency evacuation, but you should confirm what level of coverage is appropriate for your situation. If your trip includes high-altitude hiking (such as Peru or Bhutan), you may want a policy that covers hiking at higher elevations. When purchasing insurance, it can be helpful to call the provider directly to confirm altitude limits and activity exclusions so there are no surprises. Some travelers choose to purchase Cancel For Any Reason (CFAR) coverage for greater flexibility. If you have pre-existing medical conditions or are considering CFAR coverage, many policies require the insurance to be purchased shortly after your initial trip deposit in order for those benefits to apply. Our small-group adventures require a minimum number of guests to operate (typically about 6 participants). If a trip must be cancelled because the minimum number of guests has not been reached, you will have the option to:• convert the trip into a private departure if possible (with adjusted pricing), or • receive a full refund of payments made to LH Adventure Travel.In the unlikely event that travel cannot occur due to circumstances beyond our control — such as natural disasters, government restrictions, political unrest, disease outbreaks, or other unforeseen events — LH Adventure Travel will work with local partners to recover as much of the trip cost as possible. Because many services are prepaid to local operators, refunds depend on the policies of those partners. Most of your trip is fully taken care of as indicated on the trip website, but there are a few small items to be aware of. For drinks not included on the trip, guests often decide to share bills and use an app called Splitwise to keep track. If your itinerary states that on the final day, one private transfer is included to the airport or train station, that is for the day listed. If you plan to stay longer, we’re happy to help you arrange your own additional transportation as needed.
