DAYS  2-6

Walking the Camino

Over five days, we’ll walk a beautiful stretch of the Camino de Santiago, moving through rolling countryside, vineyards, olive groves, and centuries-old villages. (See details with daily distance and elevation gain in the FAQs and description of the walk below.)

Each morning, you’ll set out at your own pace on mostly gentle, non-technical terrain, with luggage transferred ahead and support available if needed.

Evenings are spent in small, locally owned accommodations chosen for their warmth, charm, and connection to the Camino, followed by shared dinners and time to rest and reflect.

Meals: Breakfast and dinner each day. Lunch one day.

DAYS 6-8

Logrono and Laguardia

After completing our final walk, we’ll arrive in Logroño, where we’ll slow down and celebrate the journey. We’ll stay for two nights at a five-star hotel, offering space to rest, reflect, and enjoy a 50 minute massage spa treatment.

Our time here includes a tapas tour in Logrono and a day trip to Laguardia, a beautiful medieval hill town in the Rioja wine region, with wine tasting and time to wander and enjoy lunch on your own. Back in Logroño, you’ll have free time to explore again before we gather for a final group dinner—a chance to toast the miles walked and the connections formed.

On Day 8, you’ll depart after breakfast, continuing on to another part of Spain or heading home.

The Walk

Walk a beautiful and varied stretch of the Camino Francés, beginning just outside Pamplona and ending in Logroño — one of the most iconic pilgrimage routes in the world.

For centuries, pilgrims from across the globe have walked this path to challenge themselves physically, reflect spiritually, and connect to something larger than daily life. Over five days, we’ll follow in those footsteps, moving through rolling hills, vineyards, olive groves, and medieval villages, settling into a steady rhythm that naturally invites both reflection and connection.

The Camino Francés is a well-marked and well-traveled trail, with clear signage and yellow arrows guiding the way. You’ll be given route information for each day, and it’s common to see other pilgrims walking throughout the journey. Some moments you may enjoy walking quietly on your own, while at other times you’ll naturally fall into step with others — sharing conversation, encouragement, and the simple joy of the walk. The trail offers a steady flow of pilgrims without feeling crowded, creating both a sense of community and plenty of open, peaceful walking.

Stacey will walk this exact route in late May 2026 to experience each day firsthand and ensure the flow, pacing, and logistics feel just right.

Highlights along the way include:

  • Climbing to the Alto del Perdón, with sweeping views across the Navarra countryside

  • Crossing the historic Puente la Reina, a gathering point for pilgrims for centuries

  • Walking through wine country and small farming villages

  • Arriving in Logroño, known for its warmth, lively energy, and exceptional food scene

The walking is non-technical, on a mix of dirt paths, gravel, and quiet roads. You’ll walk at your own pace, with time to pause for coffee, lunch, photos, or simply to take in the landscape.

Daily distances range from approximately 6 to 15 miles, with the longest day early in the journey and a shorter final walk into Logroño. For a detailed breakdown of daily distances and elevation gain, please see “What is the activity level?” in the FAQs below.

To make the experience as easeful as possible, luggage is transferred for you each day, so you walk only with a light daypack. You’ll also have private telephone support available daily from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm for back up assistance.

Evenings are an important part of the experience. After each day’s walk, we gather in handpicked inns to share dinner and conversation—a time to connect, reflect, and enjoy the culture of the places we’re walking through. These shared moments, paired with the steady rhythm of the trail, are often what people remember most.

This is a walk that offers challenge without urgency, structure without pressure, and space for both solitude and shared experience—an experience that stays with people long after the last step. Our approach preserves the spirit and rhythm of the Camino while thoughtfully adding comfort, cultural depth, and ease at the beginning and end of the journey.

"Tell me, what is it you plan to do with your one wild and precious life?.”
Mary Oliver

Who is this trip for?

We are women, mostly in our 40s to 60s, who seek more than sightseeing — we’re drawn to experiences that challenge, inspire, and connect us more deeply to ourselves and the world.

This Camino journey is for women who appreciate both independence and connection. Each day offers the freedom to walk at your own pace — sometimes alongside others, sometimes in quiet solitude — covering roughly 10-15 miles in a day through Spain’s stunning countryside. Luggage transfers and on-call support make the journey smooth, while each evening brings us back together for comfort, camaraderie, and shared reflection.

We are resilient, curious, and grounded — women who embrace both the ease and effort of the path, trusting that the walk itself becomes part of our growth and joy.
