Marissa De Freese, MD

Hi, I'm Marissa.
I’m a mom, passionate traveler, trauma surgeon, and lifelong advocate for healthy living. You can read more about me here.

The first time I went to Peru, I knew I would be back. After joining an LH Adventure Travel trip in Guatemala, I felt so aligned with the mission and values of the company that I knew I wanted to be part of it.

When Stacey mentioned she was planning a trip to Peru, I shared the contact information of a guide I’d worked with before and highly recommended. The itinerary was already in place, but she brought him on for a few private tours—and guests absolutely loved him. This time, he’ll be our main guide for the entire journey! We’ll also be joined by a wonderful assistant guide—a woman around our age—who brings warmth, insight, and a beautiful presence to the experience.

For this adventure, we have an incredible team, a bucket-list itinerary, and gorgeous accommodations. I can’t wait to share this magical place with you.
