The Details

DAYS 1-2

Welcome to Tanzania – Where Culture Meets Nature

Begin your journey at a Maasai-run lodge nestled on the steppe, with sweeping views of Mount Kilimanjaro. Wake to sunrise from your private terrace, surrounded by nature. Savor meals that blend international flavors with traditional Swahili cuisine, enjoyed in the open air.

Walk with a Maasai guide through the surrounding landscape, listening to stories of culture, land, and daily life. In the afternoon, join a beading workshop with Maasai women or simply relax with an optional massage, a gentle way to settle into the rhythm of the journey.

DAY  3

Hiking the Shira Plateau

Set out on a guided hike across the Shira Plateau, one of Kilimanjaro’s most dramatic landscapes. Beginning at nearly 11,500 feet above sea level, the air is crisp and the views are endless. Weather permitting, you’ll see Kibo, Kilimanjaro’s highest peak, and the shimmering northern glaciers.

As you walk, volcanic cones and sweeping highland plains unfold around you. Pause at lookout points on the northern rim of the ancient Shira Crater, and enjoy a picnic lunch in the open air. The trail is moderately challenging, about three hours on average, requiring no special training or equipment—just curiosity and a sense of adventure.

DAYS 4-6

Lake Manyara & Ngorongoro Crater

We travel into the Manyara region, beginning with a guided walking tour of Mto Wa Mbu village and a traditional local lunch. That afternoon, we enter Lake Manyara National Park for a game drive, watching for elephants, flamingos, and the park’s famous tree-climbing lions.

The next day, we’ll descend into the Ngorongoro Crater—an iconic natural wonder and one of the best places in the world to see wildlife up close. With its sweeping grasslands and dense animal populations, it offers an unparalleled chance to spot the “Big Five.” In quieter moments, enjoy the lodge and an optional walk through a working coffee farm.

The Heart of the Serengeti

A short flight brings us into the central Serengeti, where we settle into a gorgeous luxury tented camp. For three nights, the endless savannah is our backdrop as we venture out on daily game drives to witness one of the richest wildlife ecosystems on earth.

Mornings and evenings bring unforgettable sightings—from prowling lions to grazing herds against a golden horizon. For those seeking an extra thrill, you may opt for a sunrise hot-air balloon ride over the plains (additional cost), floating silently above the wildlife as dawn breaks.
