Who is this trip for?
We are adventurous people, mainly in our 40s to 60s, who love to travel and embrace meaningful experiences.
This is a bucket-list journey - you’ll stay in beautiful accommodations, be deeply immersed in local culture, marvel at breathtaking landscapes, and savor incredible food. Everything is expertly planned, allowing you to fully enjoy the moment. But our style of travel isn’t for everyone. This trip includes some longer drives to reach the desert, with stunning scenery and hiking along the way. It’s designed for those with a sense of adventure and flexibility.
Resilience is key in Morocco - weather shifts, power outages, or road detours may occasionally affect plans. Our excellent guides and driver will ensure we’re safe, but we approach this as adventure travelers—open, adaptable, and ready for the unexpected. Our hikes are moderate and don’t require advanced skills, but you’ll need good hiking boots. Multiple guides will be present to accomodate different paces and two of the hikes can be optional.

Hi, I'm Stacey Funt, a physician, certified health coach, lifelong global adventure traveler, and the founder of LH Adventure Travel. I first visited Antigua, Guatemala, over 30 years ago and was immediately captivated by its cobblestone streets, lush garden oases behind beautifully carved wooden doors, and charming rooftop restaurants with stunning volcano views. The authentic atmosphere, laid-back vibe, and rich culture have kept me coming back ever since. It’s the perfect backdrop for an active and flexible itinerary that also leaves plenty of time for relaxation and self-care, which is exactly what we aim for on this trip. This will be my fourth time leading a group here, and it’s always a joy to watch each guest fall in love with the country.
Hi, I'm Rich Slesinski, a physics teacher and Stacey's husband. Over the years, I've trekked with Stacey all over the globe, and I take off each summer to hike a section of the Appalachian Trail on my own. I’ve had the privilege of being on many group trips, and I’m really looking forward to co-leading this one with Stacey. Guatemala has been a part of our conversations for years, and I’m thrilled to finally experience it with all of you.
