This is an active adventure designed for women who enjoy spending time outdoors. While no technical hiking experience is required, you should be comfortable walking several hours on uneven terrain and have the endurance for consecutive active days.

During our three days in Torres del Paine National Park, we'll have a choice of guided hikes on most days, allowing you to select the option that best matches your interests and fitness level.

Our bicycle tour in Buenos Aires is leisurely and primarily on flat terrain. Anyone who is comfortable riding a bicycle should be able to participate. If cycling isn't for you, we'll be happy to help arrange a walking tour instead.

Patagonia is famous for its rapidly changing weather. It's not uncommon to experience sunshine, wind, clouds, and light rain all in the same day.

We've scheduled this journey during Patagonia's summer (February), when temperatures are generally mild and daylight is long, providing some of the year's best conditions for hiking and exploring. Even so, flexibility is part of the adventure.

Daily temperatures are often in the 50s and 60s°F (10-20°C), although mornings, evenings, and higher elevations can be considerably cooler.

Patagonia is one of the world's most remote and spectacular regions, and traveling here requires significant logistics. Distances are vast, accommodations inside Torres del Paine National Park are limited, and transportation, guides, and park operations all come at a premium.

We've intentionally designed this journey to make the most of your time in Patagonia by spending three nights inside Torres del Paine National Park during Patagonia's summer, when conditions are generally the most favorable for hiking and exploring. Rather than commuting from town each day or trekking from refuge to refuge with all your gear, you'll return each evening to the comfort of your accommodations while remaining immersed in one of the world's most extraordinary landscapes.

While Patagonia is a significant investment, we believe the combination of breathtaking scenery, authentic cultural experiences, thoughtfully chosen accommodations, and a slower, more immersive pace creates an unforgettable journey.

Because many of the hotels, guides, and special experiences included in this journey require advance payment and are non-refundable, trip payments are non-refundable. For this reason, we strongly recommend purchasing comprehensive travel insurance that includes trip cancellation and interruption coverage.

If another guest approved by LH Adventure Travel takes your place, your payments may be applied as a credit toward a future LH Adventure Travel adventure, less a $250 transfer fee to cover reservation changes and related administrative costs. Travel credits are valid for 18 months from the original departure date and are subject to supplier policies.

If your cancellation is due to a reason covered by your travel insurance, we'll gladly provide any documentation needed to support your claim.

No. During our day on a traditional Patagonian ranch, guests will have the opportunity to choose between horseback riding or hiking, depending on their interests and comfort level

There is a minimum of seven and a maximum of fourteen guests in the group (plus the host). If sold out, you can be placed on a waiting list.

Layering is the key to staying comfortable in Patagonia.

We recommend moisture-wicking clothing, a warm fleece or insulated jacket, a waterproof outer layer, comfortable hiking pants, sturdy hiking shoes or boots, a hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, and a small daypack.

A detailed packing guide will be provided several months before departure.

Patagonia is home to remarkable wildlife, although sightings are never guaranteed. Depending on the season and conditions, you may see guanacos, foxes, rheas, condors, flamingos, armadillos, and a variety of other bird species.

If we're especially fortunate, we may even catch a glimpse of a puma from a distance.

Crossing from Argentina into Chile is straightforward, but there are a few important requirements.

• Bring your valid passport.

• 1–2 days before we cross into Chile, complete Chile's required Digital Affidavit. I'll send you the link and instructions before your trip, so you don't need to worry about finding it yourself.

• Make sure you have:

  • Proof of international travel medical insurance

  • Your hotel information in Chile (I'll provide this before the trip.)

  • Your onward travel information (such as your departing flight from Chile)

• If you're traveling from El Calafate to Chile, your luggage must have a tag displaying your full name and contact information.
  

When you enter Chile, immigration will give you a small PDI Tourist Card. Please keep it in a safe place. You'll need to show it when checking into hotels and again when leaving Chile. It allows foreign visitors to be exempt from Chile's 19% VAT (tax) on accommodations. If it is lost, you may be responsible for paying that tax.

About 60–80 days before departure, we will send you the links, hotel information, and step-by-step instructions you'll need for the border crossing. This process is routine, and we'll make sure you're well prepared before we travel.

Yes. Argentina and Chile use different plug types than the United States and Canada.

A universal travel adapter is the simplest option and works well throughout the trip. You can see my favorite one here.

If you’re interested in sharing a room, I’m happy to connect you with another guest who is also looking for a roommate, when possible. While I can’t guarantee a match, I’ll facilitate introductions so you can decide together if it feels like a good fit.

If you’re registering on your own, you’ll initially sign up for a single room. If you later find a roommate, your registration and pricing will be adjusted. If a roommate match doesn’t work out, you’ll remain in the single room, subject to availability.

If having a single room is essential for you, please reach out before registering so we can confirm availability.

Please wait to purchase non-refundable airfare until you receive an email confirming that the trip has reached the minimum number of participants and is officially running.

Trips are typically confirmed once the minimum number of guests has registered, or no later than 90 days before departure for international trips and 60 days before departure for domestic trips.

If you prefer to book flights earlier, we recommend choosing tickets that are refundable or easily changeable.

If you trip has an internal flight not included in the cost (Patagonia), please do not book this flight independently. We will provide specific instructions once the group flight plan is finalized so everyone can travel together. If you prefer to use airline miles, please let us know in advance and we will do our best to coordinate.

Yes. All guests are required to carry their own travel insurance policy that includes medical coverage and emergency evacuation.

It is generally advisable to choose a policy with substantial coverage for both medical expenses and evacuation. Many policies provide $50,000–$100,000 in medical coverage and $250,000–$500,000 for emergency evacuation, but you should confirm what level of coverage is appropriate for your situation.

If your trip includes high-altitude hiking (such as Peru or Bhutan), you may want a policy that covers hiking at higher elevations. When purchasing insurance, it can be helpful to call the provider directly to confirm altitude limits and activity exclusions so there are no surprises.

Some travelers choose to purchase Cancel For Any Reason (CFAR) coverage for greater flexibility. If you have pre-existing medical conditions or are considering CFAR coverage, many policies require the insurance to be purchased shortly after your initial trip deposit in order for those benefits to apply.

Insurance policies vary widely, so please review the details carefully and confirm coverage directly with your insurance provider. LH Adventure Travel does not provide insurance and is not responsible for individual insurance decisions.

Our small-group adventures require a minimum number of guests to operate (typically about 6 participants). If a trip must be cancelled because the minimum number of guests has not been reached, you will have the option to:

• convert the trip into a private departure if possible (with adjusted pricing), or

• receive a full refund of payments made to LH Adventure Travel.

In the unlikely event that travel cannot occur due to circumstances beyond our control — such as natural disasters, government restrictions, political unrest, disease outbreaks, or other unforeseen events — LH Adventure Travel will work with local partners to recover as much of the trip cost as possible. Because many services are prepaid to local operators, refunds depend on the policies of those partners. Any funds recovered will be applied as a credit toward a future LH Adventure Travel trip, valid for one year.

We recommend checking with your travel insurance provider to understand which situations may be covered under your policy.

LH Adventure Travel is not responsible for additional expenses incurred by guests, including airfare, travel insurance, or other travel arrangements.

All payments made to LH Adventure Travel are non-refundable. If you need to cancel your participation for any reason, payments cannot be refunded.

If your cancellation is covered under your travel insurance policy, you may submit a claim directly to your insurance provider. LH Adventure Travel will provide any documentation required to support an insurance claim.

Most of your trip is fully taken care of as indicated on the trip website, but there are a few small items to be aware of. For drinks not included on the trip, guests often decide to share bills and use an app called Splitwise to keep track.

If your itinerary states that on the final day, one private transfer is included to the airport or train station, that is for the day listed. If you plan to stay longer, we’re happy to help you arrange your own additional transportation as needed.
